Families begin by contacting MPAB to express interest and receive general information about our program, philosophy, schedules, and services

Family Consultation

A meeting is scheduled with the family to discuss the child’s strengths, needs, school history, and current challenges related to attention, behavior, emotional regulation, and learning. This conversation helps determine whether MPAB’s therapeutic, boy-centered approach is appropriate.

Relevant educational, behavioral, or clinical records (IEP,if available) are reviewed to better understand the child’s academic and social-emotional profile.

Student Observation or Visit

When appropriate, the student may participate in an observation day or short visit to assess fit within the structured, relational, and movement-responsive learning environment

Enrollment Decision

Once mutual fit is confirmed, families are notified of acceptance and the official enrollment offer is extended.

Enrollment and Eligibility Criteria

Students must:

• Be entering Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade

• Not require restrictive placements (no severe aggression or elopement)

• Benefit from a small, structured environment

• Have families willing to partner with the school

Morgan Preparatory Academy for Boys does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Through collaboration with families and a student-centered approach, we strive to provide an environment where every boy has the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Morgan Prep Academy Fee for First through Fourth Grades includes:

• Transition Camp (occurs the week directly prior to the start of school)

  • A week long camp prior to the first day of school where the boys learn the routines of the academy and meet each other to make the transition into a new environment smoother and less overwhelming.

• Back to School Supplies (All required school supplies are given to the student during the first week of school.)

• Morgan Prep Polo and T-Shirt

• Art Supplies

• Community Based Field Trips

• Service Learning Project

• Morgan Prep Thanksgiving Feast (student meal cost)

TEFA

MPAB will be accepting TEFA funds for the 2026-2027 school year. Parents can apply those funds towards tuition and fees.

The amount awarded to each student varies and depends on the child’s situation.

State law sets the amount of the transfer at 85 percent of the statewide average amount of state and local funding per student in Texas public schools. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has determined the amount for the 2026-27 school year is $10,474 per child if the student attends an approved private school.

Students with disabilities who have an individualized education plan (IEP) on file with their school district may receive more — up to $30,000 per year.

In the event that TEFA does not cover the full tuition and fee amount the parents will be responsible for the difference over 10 months.

Any parent wishing to utilize TEFA funding must log into their Odyssey Portal account and select Morgan Preparatory Academy for Boys as their student's intended school. Once selected, the school will be notified and can assist families with the remaining enrollment and funding verification steps.

10- Month payment plan

Morgan Preparatory Academy offers a convenient 10-month payment plan designed to make tuition more manageable for families. Under this plan, annual tuition is divided into ten equal monthly payments, with the first payment due prior to the start of the school year and subsequent payments due monthly thereafter.

Enrollment at MPAB requires a semester commitment. Families are financially responsible for the full semester tuition once the semester begins, regardless of withdrawal or attendance, unless otherwise outlined in the Enrollment Agreement. Automatic payments are encouraged to ensure timely processing and uninterrupted enrollment.
